Treatment: Music Video Preparation

Name Of Track: Green Eyed Monster

Artist(s): 1984

Name(s) of Student(s) in Group: Christopher Joyce, Matt Maloney

Initial Research and Target Audience:
- After doing some study into genre, we decided to pick and Indie song, as it best compliments the way we lip-sync and the type of video we want to create.
- The Indie genre led us to finding our target audience, which would mainly be females between the ages of 17 and 21.
- With the use of surveymonkey.com we created a survey so as to make sure our target audience was correct.
- Surveymonkey also helped us to see HOW and WHERE people watch music videos and what they like about them. This will help us when we produce the digipak and has influenced what we want to include in the video.

Outline Ideas:
We have a humourous character of the detective, who trips over a wire and decides to follow it, due to it causing him distress. The wire takes him through many funny locations and he eventually ends up at the location where the band are playing. We will have two seperate storylines, one the detective and the other of the band playing the song. They converge near the end when the detective ends up at the bands practice. Hoping for it to be funny as the detective links in with the questioning lyrics.

  1. To get feedback on our videos we used a great web survey site that allows us to include the video directly in the survey, the person taking the survey can then watch the video and answer the questions at the same time. The site is http://www.websurveymaster.com/
    I highly recommend it.
    Hope this helps!
